Van Gogh Alive announces extended run in Salford

The immersive arts experience Van Gogh Alive has announced it is to extend its run at MediaCity after huge demand for tickets.

The multi-sensory event has welcomed over 110,000 visitors since it launched at Salford Quays in October, and had been due to come to an end on January 23.

But bosses of Van Gogh Alive, which boasts the now iconic "Sunflower selfie room", have now announced they are extending the run by an additional month, with tickets now available up until February 27, 2022.

The extension gives a final chance to experience the arts of seminal Dutch artist Van Gogh in life-sized sensory form, including a life-sized walk-in representation of his ‘Bedroom in Arles’ painting as well as the Sunflower room that has been all over social media since the launch.

The hugely successful experience launched amid much fanfare in October, with a host of famous faces spotted including football pundit Gary Neville, Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter and Corrie's Dame Maureen Lipman.

Created by Grande Experiences, the spectacular, immersive gallery is housed in a 17,500ft purpose-built venue in the MediaCity, offering a feast of sight, sound and even scent.

More than eight million people have flocked to see Van Gogh Alive across 75 countries.

As well as learning more about the life and work of the artist, visitors are invited to try their hands at using his techniques and learning his craft to create their own masterpiece in the Art Activity Area.

Tickets are priced from £22.00 for adults and £15.00 for children by clicking here, with concessions and school group discounts available.
