Riot Games is nerfing Phoenix’s Ultimate cost in VALORANT Patch 13.02 and delaying the release of the All Random One Site: Replication game mode, with no new date in mind.
Releasing on July 28, VALORANT Patch 13.02 features one Agent change, and it’s for Phoenix. Phoenix’s popularity has increased among Duelists in the last few months, and one of his biggest strengths has always been Ultimate farming. With that, Riot increases Phoenix’s Ultimate cost from six to seven orbs.
“Overall we are happy with the state of Phoenix’s balance. This is a small touch to address the frequency with which he is able to cast his ultimate to be more in line with other characters,” Riot detailed in the patch notes.
In the patch notes, Riot Games announced that VALORANT‘s new mode, All Random One Site: Replication, is getting delayed, with no new release date in mind. “We don’t take these decisions lightly as we know a lot of you were looking forward to this mode. We are still targeting a future release date and will let you know when we have more to share.”
All Random One Site: Replication was initially teased in May and is a mode that combines one-site 5v5 action of All Random One Site with duplicate Agents of Replication. All Random One Site has cheaper abilities and changes Agents every round, which only means more chaos on the battlefield.
On the other hand, Retake is getting three new maps added to the pool. This includes Split, Corrode, and Lotus, bringing the total number of sites available in Retake to 18. Retake was introduced in Patch 13.00 and has since been a great way to warm up alongside something like Skirmish.
The rest are bug fixes for over 10 Agents across PC and consoles, as well as a fix for door and ability interactions on Summit.
