Valerian Ismael makes honest admission on red card decision as Nottingham Forest held in draw

West Bromwich Albion boss Valerien Ismael has made an honest admission about Jayson Molumby's sending off 20 minutes before full-time against Nottingham Forest.

The Baggies were held to a 0-0 draw by the Reds in a game of very few chances for either side.

Forest have now extended their fine run of form to just one loss in 13 matches, but Steve Cooper's side will have been frustrated to have not found a winner against 10-men.

But Albion boss Ismael believes it was the correct decision to send Molumby for an early bath having fouled Joe Lolley.

"It's a red card," he told BirminghamLive. "I saw again the situation, I think that Jayson needed to manage the challenge better when you've been booked nine minutes before.

"You need to manage the challenge differently.

"You need to stay calm and to control your emotions in that situation.

"It's another kind of mistake, but it's another which put us in a difficult situation to stay in the game.

"The good thing was that we managed the situation down to ten men."
