The fire, which engulfed two connected apartment blocks, resulted in the loss of at least four lives with up to 15 individuals still missing, as reported by Valencia's emergency services.

Valencia was set to play against Granada in LaLiga on Saturday at 2 p.m. local time, while Levante was scheduled to host FC Andorra in Valencia seven hours later.

Valencia CF expressed deep regret over the incident and extended condolences to the victims' families. The club commended the emergency services for their efforts and announced that players and coaches from various teams would observe a minute of silence in memory of the victims during their training sessions.

Valencia also confirmed that they had formally requested to postpone the match against Granada CF and would fly flags at half-mast at their facilities in alignment with the city's three days of mourning.

Levante, in solidarity with the affected families, also requested the postponement of their game and acknowledged the exceptional work of the emergency services during the tragic event.

Several other Spanish clubs, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, offered their condolences to Valencia. FC Barcelona expressed sympathy for the victims' families and extended support to those impacted by the fire. Real Madrid, through a statement on their website, conveyed their deepest sympathy for the victims and solidarity with the people of Valencia.
