Uttar Pradesh: Two of inter-district auto-lifters’ gang arrested

PRAYAGRAJ: Two members of an inter district gang involved in auto- lifting were arrested by police in Pratapgarh district , on Thursday.

Three stolen bikes were also recovered. The arrested were identified as Ravi Kumar Gautam and Mukesh Kumar Patel, residents of Mandhata. The arrest was made near Jethwara area.

The recovered motorcycles were lifted from Prayagraj and Kaushambi district. Police said that the duo used to sell stolen bike with forged documents to neighbouring districts to dodge police.

The gang used to operate in Prayagraj, Kaushambi and Pratapgarh district.
