Uttar Pradesh: Two gangs of auto lifters busted, 5 held

NOIDA: Two separate gangs of auto lifters have been busted and police recovered a car, four motorcycles and auto-parts in large quantity from their possession. Police said these gangs used to steal cars and motorcycles from Delhi-NCR and sell their parts after dismantling the vehicle in nearby areas.

The first gang was busted by the Jewar police station team where two miscreants, Vakeel Khan and Khalid were nabbed. “We were carrying out checks in our area when a Baleno was stopped for checking and dismantled parts of cars and motorcycles were found in it,” Abhayendra Singh, SSI, Jewar police station said.

The two were booked under sections 413 (habitually dealing in stolen property), 482 (using a false property mark) of the IPC.

The second gang was busted by the Badalpur police team, which arrested three miscreants on Thursday morning following a tip-off. The three accused are Badal, Atul and Vishal.
