PRAYAGRAJ: Three persons including a minor were electrocuted to death and one another sustained injuries when they came in contact with live current running on an electric pole at Gara village under the limits of Koraon police station in trans-Yamuna pocket of Prayagraj on Friday morning.

Following the incident, irate villagers blocked vehicular movement on Koraon road demanding stern action against the errant power department officials and employees. Upon being alerted, senior police and administrative officials along with forces rushed to the spot to pacify the agitating crowd.

The agitators rolled back their stir once police assured to lodge an FIR against employees of the power department. Villagers then dialled the power sub-station and asked to stop the electric supply. SHO (Koraon) DK Singh told TOI that an FIR under appropriate sections has been lodged against unidentified power department officials/ employees regarding incident.
