LUCKNOW: Six persons were killed after a truck collided with an e-rickshaw in Sultanpur on Friday morning. The accident occurred on Prayagraj-Ayodhya bypass near Odra village. Police said two injured were admitted to a hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the deaths and ordered best treatment for the victims.
SP, Sultanpur, Somen Barma, said e-rickshaw carrying eight passengers was going towards Kotwali Dehat when the truck coming from Prayagraj hit it. The truck driver fled. Police had to use gas-cutters to pull out five bodies trapped in the mangled vehicle. One more person succumbed to injuries during treatment. The e-rickshaw driver was among the dead.
