CHANDIGARH: Punjab Governor-cum-UT administrator Banwari Lal Purohit will review the city’s Master Plan on Wednesday. Purohit will hold a meeting with UT adviser Dharam Pal and other senior officials at the UT secretariat, Sector 9, during which officials will give a presentation on the Master Plan.
Pal has been holding various meetings in the last one week. Recently, Purohit had issued directions to the administration that no further fresh constructions be allowed outside lal dora in villages.
Recently, the administration had asked the Indian Institute of Human Settlements (IIHS), Bengaluru, to submit a revised draft policy on village development, regularisation of illegal structures and extension of lal dora keeping in mind city’s Master Plan.
