Life sciences company Collagen Solutions has appointed US tech entrepreneur Wade Rosen as a non-executive director.
The 34-year-old behind Wishlist and Thrivepass recently made a £4.18 million strategic investment in the Glasgow-based company through his Rosen’s Diversified, Inc food group as as part of a share offer.
Collagen Solutions, which specialises in medical grade collagen and tissue components and has done a deal to supply Rosen's with tissue, raised a total of £6 million from investors.
David Evans, Chairman of Collagen Solutions, said: "We are delighted to welcome Wade to the Board. Wade arrives at a pivotal time for the Company and we are confident that his appointment will bring immediate value to the Board.”
Rosen, from Boulder, Colorado, has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Information Technology & E-Commerce from the University of Denver and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Instituto de Empresa in Spain.
In a trading update for the year ended 31 March 2019, Collagen said last month that revenue for the current year is expected to reach £4.15 million. This is up from £3.50 million in 2018 and reflects growth of 18%.
