US submarine sinks Iranian warship off Sri Lanka coast

A US military submarine carried out a deadly strike on the Iranian frigate Iris Dena off Sri Lanka’s coast, according to American officials.
More than 100 people are reported missing, 78 injured, and at least one person dead after the vessel sank.
Sri Lankan navy and defence ministry sources provided these figures, though a navy spokesperson disputed the exact numbers while confirming a significant incident.
Sri Lanka's military launched rescue operations, saving 32 injured sailors who are now receiving hospital treatment.
The incident occurs amidst escalating conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran and Lebanon.
