Trump threatens Iran with more violent response without peace deal

United States Iran Strait of Hormuz US Navy

President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a more violent response if a peace deal is not signed following attacks on US ships.
The US military announced it intercepted "unprovoked Iranian attacks" in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.
US Central Command reported that Iranian forces launched multiple missiles, drones and small boats at US Navy guided-missile destroyers.
The military "eliminated inbound threats and targeted Iranian military facilities" responsible for the attacks, with no US assets being hit.
These attacks occurred while Iran was reviewing a peace proposal aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending hostilities.
