The Cannes Film Festival concluded recently with much fanfare, seeing a fantastic medley of some of the most captivating and widely acclaimed models, actors, and actresses from around the world. Behind the stunningly beautiful look of Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela at the Cannes Film Festival, was celebrity makeup artist Divya Behl. Rautela’s two outfits, one a stunning black gown and another an angelic white dress, were perfectly complemented by the pink-and-peach makeup done by Behl. Rautela's look earned her compliments from several celebrities including legendary international star Leonardo DiCaprio!
Delighted and honoured, Behl also received an opportunity to work for an editorial shoot in one of the world's oldest fashion magazines, L'Officiel. The star-studded affair gave her a chance to interact with several popular figures in the Indian film industry and abroad, including Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannaah Bhatia, and more.
Based out of Delhi, Behl runs a booming makeup business by the name of 'Divas by Divya'. Her remarkable business journey has been a testament to her strong business acumen and her progressive and seminal approach to makeup. She vehemently rejects the idea of changing appearances through make-up just to cover up one’s supposed ‘flaws’ or ‘imperfections’, or change one’s skin tone. She believes that makeup is a way to accentuate a person’s inner beauty, not morph or disguise it under layers of chemical products and is a strong advocate for everyone’s right to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, when it comes to beauty, celebrating their nuances rather than hiding them.

The presence of the stellar celebrities was breathtaking. I had a great time with Urvashi Rautela as we explored the beautiful locations of Cannes and Monte Carlo. My time at the Cannes was extremely gratifying and humbling, as I found myself standing proud and tall as a representative of my country at such a prestigious and marvelous platform”.
