Urgent search for missing Renfrewshire man last seen at popular Loch Lomond hotel

Police have issued a plea to the public to help them locate a man missing from Renfrewshire who hasn't been seen in three days.

George Brown, also known as Douglas and who is from Bridge of Weir, was last seen around 6pm on Friday at the Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond.

The 66-year-old is described as being white, 6ft tall, of medium build with white receding hair and green eyes.

Police say that when last seen, George was kilted out and wearing a grey kilt jacket, grey kilt-style waistcoat, a kilt, long black socks and black shoes.

Cops believe George could have travelled to the Ayrshire or Dumbarton areas.

Sergeant Sharon Crawford said: “We are concerned for George as time goes on and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him since 6pm on Friday to get in touch.”

Anyone who may have seen George, or has any information on his whereabouts, should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2649 of October, 2, 2022.
