Urgent police appeal over missing pensioner with 'late stage' dementia

Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public's help to find a missing pensioner with dementia.

Grace Lewis, 76, was last seen on Friday afternoon in Fallowfield.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said she has 'late stage' dementia and may appear confused.

Grace was carrying a dark-coloured handbag and wearing a green coat.

Police said officers were growing 'increasingly concerned' for her safety.

In a statement, GMP said: "Grace Lewis, 76, was last seen at around 12.30 this afternoon, Friday 9 August, on Clinton Avenue.

"Grace is described as a black female.

"She was last seen wearing a green coat, a black knee-length skirt and black shoes. She was also carrying a dark-coloured handbag.

"Grace has late stage dementia and may appear confused to members of the public.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Grace and want to make sure she is safe and well."

The police appeal has been issued on the force's social media channels.
