Urgent hunt launched as pair of Scots teens go missing

An urgent hunt has been launched for a pair of teenage girls who have gone missing in the Highlands.

Kaitlyn MacDonald, 14, and Rhiannon MacDonald, 17, have both disappeared from Inverness and police have issued an appeal to try and trace them.

A description has been issued of the pair and anyone with information has been urged to contact police.

A statement issued tonight by Highlands and Island division reads: "Police in Inverness are looking for Kaitlyn MacDonald, 14, and Rhiannon MacDonald, 17, who are both missing together from the Inverness area.

"Both have long dark hair and are approx. 5' 4" tall and could be in the Inverness or Nairn area.

"Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2966."
