Urgent appeal to trace Glasgow woman who 'may appear distressed or upset'

An urgent search to find a missing woman, with police dispatching a helicopter in their search for her.

Shona Bryden, 57, was last seen in Springburn Park at around 3.30pm this afternoon (Saturday, June 6), heading out of the park in the direction of Balgrayhill Road, towards Bishopbriggs.

Police Scotland are now appealing for help in tracing her.

Shona is described as around 5ft 3in tall, slim build with dark brown shoulder length hair tied up. She was last seen wearing a purple pencil dress, black tights, black shoes and a bright blue coat.

Inspector Gareth Griffiths, based at Baird Street Police Station, said: "We have had resources including the helicopter out looking for Shona and we're appealing for the public's help.

"Shona may appear distressed or upset and it's possible she may go to the Lenzie area.

"If anyone has any information about Shona's disappearance or possible sightings, please contact us immediately on 101 quoting incident number 2406 of 6 June 2020."
