Urgent appeal issued to trace wanted man, 25, with links to Manchester and Tameside

Manchester Tameside (Geopolitical Entity) Prison Crimestoppers GMP

Officers are appealing for help to track down a wanted man being hunted in Greater Manchester. Greater Manchester Police says TeeJay Etchells is wanted on prison recall.

The 25-year-old, from Hyde in Tameside, is also known to have links to Gorton in east Manchester. GMP has released a photo of Etchells on social media this afternoon (February 6) along with an appeal to trace him.

Anyone who sees Etchells or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact GMP or Crimestoppers as soon as possible. A spokesperson for GMP Tameside South and West said: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from Hyde.

"TeeJay Etchells is wanted for prison recall. He is known to have links to the Hyde and Gorton areas of Greater Manchester.

"Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Teejay Etchells is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CRI/06GG/001097/23. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
