Urban Meyer set to open a restaurant this fall

Urban Meyer is done coaching at Ohio State, and now he’s getting his ducks in a row for what life means after wearing the headset. He’s already been picked up as an expert analyst for FOX Sports’ version of College Gameday, he’s also got a title of Associate Athletic Director at the University, and now this.

According to report from the Columbus Dispatch, Urban Frank Meyer is ready to open a restaurant near where he lives in Dublin, Ohio. The name of the fine establishment is reported to be called “The Urban Meyer Pint House,” and is set to open this upcoming fall — just in time to fillet some Wolverine.

In fact, according to the report, the new restaurant will include Urban’s 7-0 room in homage to his record against Michigan. It’ll have trophies and other trinkets from Meyer’s career. Maybe a countdown clock is order — one can hope.

As far as the food goes, The Urban Meyer Pint House will of course feature craft beer and have a menu very similar to the already established Short North Pint House.

Meyer isn’t going out on this venture alone though. He is partnering with local restauranteur Chris Corso who owns not only the Short North Pint House but other restaurants in the area.

So get ready to wash down some craft brews with some smoked Michigan tail later this fall.
