'Upset' as £200 organ stolen from charity shop supporting sick children

Bosses at a Midlands charity have been left upset after a valuable item was taken from one of its stores. Rainbows Childrens Hospice had a musical instrument worth £200 taken from its storefront in Beeston, leaving workers and volunteers saddened and frustrated.

The £200 organ was taken from the High Road branch on Thursday, May 4. Rainbows confirmed the incident, adding that it found the incident "upsetting". Nikki Winterton, Rainbows retail operations manager, said: “We can confirm an organ worth £200 was taken from our Beeston shop last week.

"Incidents like this are very upsetting for us as money raised by sales at our shops go towards the vital work of our charity, providing care and support for hundreds of babies, children and young people with serious and terminal illnesses, including those from Nottinghamshire.”
