Update issued on £40m Man Utd and Liverpool target as Swansea identify Joe Rodon replacement amid Tottenham interest

Here are the latest transfer headlines at 3pm on deadline day.

Tindall not expecting Brooks departure

Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall has poured cold water over the chances of David Brooks securing a deadline day move away.

The forward has been linked with a number of clubs recently, including the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool, amid suggestions the Cherries would want something in the region of £40m for him.

However, Tindall has played down the possibility of any developments.

"No I’m not. You can never say never as we know in any transfer window," he replied when asked if he was expecting any offers for the Wales international.

"Things come out the woodwork you can’t foresee and you’re not expecting, but we’re certainly not.

"I’m happy with the group of players that I’ve got and the last thing I want to do is lose more of our best players that’s going to have an impact on the remainder of the season.

"We’re not expecting it to be too busy for ourselves."

Swansea reportedly identify Joe Rodon replacement

Swansea City are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Wolves defender Ryan Bennett.

According to Football Insider, the Swans are have set their sights on the central defender as a potential replacement for star centre-back Joe Rodon, who continues to be linked with a move to Tottenham.

Bennett's future at Wolves has been the subject of speculation since he slipped down the pecking order under Nuno Espirito Santo.

He has subsequently attracted attention from a number of different clubs, with Swansea now believed to be working hard to get a deal done.

Sheffield Wednesday complete Flint move

Sheffield Wednesday have completed a loan move for Cardiff City centre-back Aden Flint.

Flint arrived in the Welsh capital back in July 2019 and made 30 appearances in a Bluebirds shirt.

However, he has fallen out of favour in the Welsh capital under Neil Harris and is now set to reunite with former City team-mate Callum Paterson in South Yorkshire.

Sunderland in for Sanderson

Sunderland are reportedly keen to take Dion Sanderson on loan from Wolves.

According to Sky Sports, the League One outfit have already tabled an offer to Wolves, where he has so far failed to make a meaningful first team breakthrough under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Cardiff City were also believed to be interested having discussed the possibility of a move for much of the summer, but it now appears unlikely that the 20-year old will be returning for a second loan spell in the capital.

Swans battling QPR and Reading for Dutch winger

Swansea City are set to go head-to-head with QPR and Reading for Dutch winger Rajiv van La Parra.

According to Voetbal International, all three Championship sides have registered a ‘concrete interest’ in the winger, who is a free agent after leaving Red Star Belgrade earlier in the summer.

PEC Zwolle are also believed to be keen, while there is also believed to be interest from Mexico.

However, having previously played for Huddersfield Town, it's understood that the player is keen on a return to English football.
