Unlock a world of tremolo tones with the revolutionary VegaTrem VT2ND Teletrem – a whammy bar that easily equips to any Fender Telecaster

VegaTrem VT2ND

It goes without saying that the Telecaster is one of the most famous electric guitar models on the planet, but for a lot of players the inability to equip their fixed-bridge single-cut with a whammy bar without some seriously invasive bodywork is a big problem.

Yes, there are some Telecaster models that come factory-fitted with a tremolo, but in such instances flexibility remains an issue: players never have the possibility of having both options at once.

Lucky for those players, VegaTrem has masterminded a solution: the revolutionary VegaTrem VT2ND (No Drill), which lets guitarists easily equip a whammy bar to Fender Telecasters.

When we say “easily equip”, we mean it. For almost seven decades, Tele owners would’ve had to drill holes into their guitars to accommodate a Bigsby B5 – an irreversible modification that would leave players effectively stuck with the whammy bar. Sure, they could remove it, but those unsightly drill wounds would still remain.

VegaTrem’s VT2ND negates all the above problems with a “Kill your drill” solution. Instead, it uses only the factory-drilled holes, and effortlessly assimilates into your instrument’s hardware by replacing the existing bridge and providing a hinge-equipped whammy bar in its place.

The tonal possibilities that the VT2ND Teletrem presents are endless. Trademark Tele twangs can be treated to all sorts of wide-ranging tremolo tones – such as “pulling up” to up to half a tone – while the construction of the bridge system helps to promote tuning stability, enhance sustain and enrich the overall sound.

To do so, it uses marine grade stainless steel and classic brass saddles, as well as an ergonomic whammy bar that can transform Telecasters into dive-bombing machines. While T-type guitars were never designed to accommodate tremolo bars, VegaTrem’s innovation takes the single-cut’s sonic potential one step further.

And, unlike previous attempts to solve the Telecaster-Tremolo problem, the VT2ND Teletrem is completely reversible. So long as the guitar’s original bridge has been kept, the VT2ND can be removed just as easily as it was attached in the first place.

Not only does the Teletrem allow you to unlock a world of tremolo tones, it does so by showing a deep respect to your prized single-cut. By removing the need for stomach-turning modifications, the Teletrem ensures your Telecaster remains in pristine condition.

All guitarists know about the disputes between supporters of opposing musical options – a fact that Leo Fender himself was well aware of.

The point of friction in this case is well known: the Fender Telecaster’s three saddles each support two strings, which (according to traditionalists) improves the overall tone of the instrument. However, this design goes against the correct intonation of the guitar, which requires individual saddles for each string or, at least, compensated saddles.

VegaTrem has united these two ideas so that you will be pleased and completely satisfied with your instrument. The company has patented a totally new bridge design, so the new saddles work in three pairs but enjoy a totally independent movement that can be adjusted to each of the six strings.

This allows you to get the best of both worlds: an excellent overall tone for your guitar but without giving up a precise and perfect intonation, all while maintaining the classic aesthetics and materials (brass) of these bridges.

The VegaTrem VT2ND is available in two iterations for both modern and classic Telecasters. Now you can access the exclusive pre-sale on VegaTrem’s website with a 10% discount (€283) that will last until there is stock, then the price will be the definitive €315 (Tax excluded).

VegaTrem’s credentials in the world of whammy bars are second to none. The company’s S-Style alternative, the VegaTrem VT1 UltraTrem, was equally innovative, allowing guitarists to easily equip their Strat with a floating tremolo without drastic modifications.

Not in vain, VegaTrem has won the Best Add-On Accessory product for NAMM 2023 – the world's largest trade-only event for the music products industry.
