Unai Emery's message from Arsenal fans to Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac

Unai Emery has told Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac that the entirety of Arsenal and their fanbase are behind the pair amid their ongoing security concerns.

Ozil and Kolasinac missed last week's 1-0 win at Newcastle United following security incidents in north London. The pair had been subject to an attempted carjacking last month in Golders Green.

Two individuals were arrested outside Ozil's house last week. It has been claimed that the pair have found themselves dragged into a conflict between rival gangs in north London.

Both players returned to training on Tuesday and Emery says he is "100 per cent" confident that they are mentally ready to play if needed against Burnley on Saturday. However Ozil was unavailable on Wednesday due to illness and it remains to be seen whether either player is deemed match ready for the visit of the Clarets to Emirates Stadium.

However if Ozil and Kolasinac do take the pitch on Saturday Emery is convinced that they will receive a warm reception from Arsenal supporters.

"I think the fans, and us, are with them together," Emery said.

"They need to feel our passion for each moment, each match, and to help the players. I want to help every player on the pitch.

"When they can feel our supporters with them, they give us... they perform much better, I think.

"For example, my coach with them is: 'Each moment, help them.' But every player."

Ozil and Kolasinac have not publicly discussed the events of last week, which are still being investigated by police. Emery says he wants to do all he can to help the players take their minds off events away from the football pitch.

"My focus is to be positive and focus on making sure the players are 100 per cent in their minds here," he said.

"I want to help them to be with us, back to normality training, thinking about football. Above all, I want them to be able to focus on each training session and each match."
