She has offered parents some home schooling tips amid the current coronavirus crisis.

Schools across the country have been shut for the last three weeks after the government implemented restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

And Education Minster Joe McHugh earlier this week announced that schools are likely to stay closed after March 29 as new restrictions come into place.

But the Tipperary star has taken to social media to give some tips to fellow parents as she begins home schooling her two kids Aoife and Tadgh.

In a video posted to Instagram Una could be seen with her very own white board telling her 630,000 followers: "I'm about to start home schooling day two like I'm sure loads of you out there are doing.

"I think a really good tip is to have a schedule and a routine and stick to that and have lots of breaks."

She added: "I'm lucky that the teachers at the school have given us packs to help us with learning at home but I also think its important to improvise and do some fun things as well."

"You just have to do whatever you can but i think it's so important to keep us going and keep us all sane right now"

Earlier this week Una shared of photo of her two new pupils at the kitchen table writing: "And so it begins! Best of luck to everyone in the same boat this morning"

The singer was flooded with comments from her followers supporting the star's teaching efforts.

One wrote: "Doing an amazing job, super mummy!"

Another said: "I'm sorry can this lady win a medal for mum of the year"

And a third said: "They're so lucky they have such a brilliant mum like you"
