Ulster Rugby set for Belfast Pride return as it calls on clubs for support

Ulster Rugby has confirmed it will once again be taking part in Belfast Pride. The parade returns to the city on Saturday, July 30.

It will be the second time the Kingspan club has taken part in the event. And it is calling on clubs and supporters to join them in this year's celebrations.

Ulster said it is taking part to continue promoting "the values of equality and inclusiveness in rugby".

Ulster Rugby CEO, Jonny Petrie, added: "We're delighted to once again be part of Belfast Pride, and we're all really looking forward to the 30th of July. Back in 2019, we participated in the parade for the first time in what was not only a fantastic day for our players, staff, and volunteers, but also an important step forward for the organisation.

"We want to continue to show our support for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Rugby is an inclusive sport, and we are proud to be an inclusive club."

Ulster added that it will walk alongside sponsor, Bank of Ireland, in this year’s parade.
