What’s Going To Happen
ULM is a whole lot of fun. The defense might be a dumpster fire, but the offense is a blast, there are always enough points to go around, and QB Caleb Evans is always worth the price of admission.
But Texas State’s offense is starting to pick up.
It sputtered and coughed over the first three weeks, and then it took down Georgia State because the running game started to work. Gresch Jensen and the passing attack were great at putting up numbers in losses, but all of a sudden, everything started to click against the Panthers and the season started to turn around.
ULM couldn’t stop you and ten of your most tastefully dressed coworkers from taking off for 200 yards on the ground.
The Warhawks have the nation’s second-worst run D – yay, Kent State! – but it’s not going to get ripped to shreds.
TXST couldn’t get anything going on the ground against Nicholls State, and overall has the nation’s third-worst rushing attack.
ULM might have a whole lot of flaws, but that’s sort of what happens when you play Florida State, Iowa State and Memphis. Now that its playing someone its own size, the offense will still work, and the defense won’t be so totally and completely miserable.
However, the Bobcat O will do enough to keep the scoreboard moving. It’ll also turn the ball over three times, and ULM will capitalize on all of them.
