Stop presses in the Ukip Christmas card factory!
No sooner had the party faithful guffawed at the artwork for this year’s festive offering – an acerbic take on the fallout from the Emily Thornberry White Van Man Tweet by the Telegraph’s cartoonist Christian Adams – than Ukip HQ were accused of nicking the image without permission.

The cartoon, of a white van driving over the outstretched forms of David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband, was tweeted by Ukip’s deputy leader Paul Nuttall on 22 November with the comment “very funny stuff”.
A Ukip spokesman told the Guardian on Monday that the cartoon had been selected for this year’s card design, but that the cards had not yet been sent out to Ukippers up and down the country.
The party had best hope those envelopes were never mailed, or Farage’s lawyers may be getting a call from the Telegraph.
The cartoonist, Christian Adams, tweeted on Tuesday morning that Ukip did not ask permission to use the artwork.
They DID NOT ASK PERMISSION! RT @zoesqwilliams: Weird that @Adamstoon1 didn't put his UKIP christmas card on his timeline.

Maybe it’s actually a staffer at Ukip HQ who will end up as roadkill …
