Rising British pop star Caity Baser had admitted she’s on a mission to meet Olivia Rodrigo ahead of her return to BST Hyde Park in London.
The TikTok sensation will take to the Rainbow Stage on Friday at 6pm ahead of Rodrigo’s sold-out headline show.
With 65,000 fans set to pack out the park, it’s one of the biggest crowds Baser has ever played to, and she’s excited to embrace every minute.
“I’m feeling super excited, it’s my first festival of the summer,” she told The Standard.
“I’m so happy to be back with my lovely band and team, having a great time in the sunshine. Thank you, Olive Rod.”
Baser is also hoping for a backstage moment with the Guts singer: “No, I have not met Olivia yet but I plan on finding her today and saying hello and well done and thank you for having me.”

She continued: “I don’t know it’s rude you didn’t go to a party and not say thank you! I think she is a queen and I would like to say thank you and that she’s cool.”
Joining an all-female line-up for the day, Baser, who released her new single, The Story of Her, on Friday, said she’s proud to be part of a festival moment centred on women in pop.
“It’s fun that I’m a part of this today because all the girls are out to sing and I’m excited about it!” she shared.
Known for her mix of playful confidence and emotional honesty, Baser gave fans a flavour of what to expect: “You can expect fun dancing giggles, crying, swearing really cool outfits, lovely long luscious hair and some new songs and some old songs.”
Drawing inspiration from legends like Frankie Valli and Ella Fitzgerald, she’s fast becoming a Gen Z favourite and BST is just the beginning of a packed summer schedule.
BST Hyde Park officially kicks off on Friday, June 27 and runs until Sunday, July 13, bringing some of the biggest names in music to the heart of London.
Rodrigo joins a blockbuster line-up that includes Neil Young, Jeff Lynne’s ELO (in their final ever show), Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan and Sabrina Carpenter, who’s playing two nights.
While many shows are sold out, a limited number of tickets remain for select performances, including Stevie Wonder, Neil Young and Carpenter’s second night.
