(Picture: REUTERS)Low-key services were being held across the UK on Remembrance Sunday as the coronavirus pandemic forced commemorations to be scaled back.
The annual service at the Cenotaph in London was going ahead, with the ceremony being held outdoors and invited guests required to observe social distancing.
It came after Boris Johnson climbed down on over providing free meals to disadvantaged children during the Christmas holidays - in a victory for Marcus Rashford’s campaign for extra support.
The Prime Minister called the England and Manchester United football star on Saturday to alert him to the decision to lay on £170million of extra funding for the measure.
