UK coronavirus death toll increases as further 14 people die

The Coronavirus death toll has increased in Britain as the Covid-19 outbreak continues to rapidly spread.

A further 14 patients who tested positive for the virus have died in the UK.

The death toll has increased to 35 from 21 on Saturday.

A total of 153 patients have now been diagnosed with Coronavirus in Scotland - after 32 new cases were confirmed today.

Department of Health announced British cases of coronavirus rose 20% to 1,372 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 40,279 people have been tested in the country, the health ministry said.

Britain reported its first confirmed coronavirus case on January 31.

The Scottish Government revealed new cases this afternoon.

The Glasgow total rises to 39, meanwhile Lothian has 28 cases.

Over 70s in Scotland will not self-isolate instead the advice is to 'reduce social contact' in a bid to stop spread of deadly disease.
