UGA’s Sony Michel starts 2019 on PUP List, Wynn cleared to play

Former Georgia Bulldog teammates Sony Michel and Isaiah Wynn are both recovering from injuries to start the 2019 NFL season. Wynn tore his Achilles tendon before the beginning of last year. He’s expected to be the New England Patriots’ starting left tackle and is not on the the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) List.

Michel is starting 2019 on PUP. Due to a nagging knee injury, Michel will miss some reps in training camp. How long he’ll be out remains to be seen.

Michel underwent a minor knee surgery in June. The Super Bowl Champion had a nagging knee injury heading into last season too. Michel can still attend team meetings and use the New England medical staff. He won’t be able to participate in practice until he’s taken off the PUP List.
