MEXICO CITY – UFC on ESPN+ 17 media day took place Thursday at the host hotel, and MMA Junkie was on scene for the festivities, which included fighter faceoffs.
In the main event, Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens square off in a featherweight showdown that promises fireworks. On Wednesday, Rodriguez told MMA Junkie that he planned on finishing Stephens. Stephens, meanwhile, promised to put Rodriguez’s brains on the canvas.
Yikes.
But during their media day faceoff, both fighters said nothing. They were respectful and simply stared at each other with intensity.
