UFC on ESPN+ 16 attendance: Event draws biggest Canadian crowd of 2019

Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 16 event drew an announced attendance of 15,114 fans for a live gate of $1,334,931.56.

UFC officials announced the figures following the event, which took place Saturday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

While the number of free or “comp” tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $88.32 per ticket issued.

In the night’s main event, Justin Gaethje (21-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) proved once again he’s one of the most exciting fighters in the game today, scoring a first-round stoppage of fellow fan favorite Donald Cerrone (36-13 MMA, 23-10 UFC).

UFC on ESPN+ 16’s attendance marked the biggest reported crowd of the UFC’s three Canadian events in 2019.

May’s UFC on ESPN+ 9 event drew a reported crowd of 10,960 for a total gate of $807,000 in Ottawa, Ontario, while July’s UFC 240 drew an announced attendance of 12,144 for a $1,352,292.20 gate in Edmonton, Alberta.
