UFC Fight Night 224 post-event facts: Multiple perfect records ruined in London

The UFC made its 15th stop in London on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 224, which went down at The O2. It was the longest event of the year so far.

Many of the 15 fights on the docket went to decisions, but one man who didn’t need the judges was Tom Aspinall (13-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC), who effortlessly ran through Marcin Tybura (24-8 MMA, 11-7 UFC) for a first-round TKO in his return from a lengthy injury layoff.

Event stats

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $225,000.

Debuting fighters went 1-2 at the event.

Aspinall, Paul Craig, Jonny Parsons and Danny Roberts earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 224 fight-night bonuses.

UFC Fight Night 224 had an announced attendance of 15,078 for a live gate of $2,500,000.

Betting favorites went 10-4 on the card. One fight had even odds.

Betting favorites improved to 16-9 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 15-bout card was 2:50:37.

Tybura has suffered all five of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Julija Stoliarenko def. Molly McCann

Julija Stoliarenko (11-7-2 MMA, 2-5 UFC) has earned all 10 of her career stoppage victories by submission.

Molly McCann (13-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC) has suffered all three of her UFC losses by submission.

Nathaniel Wood def. Andre Fili

Nathaniel Wood (20-5 MMA, 7-2 UFC) improved to 3-0 since he moved up to the featherweight division in July 2022

Paul Craig def. Andre Muniz

Paul Craig (17-6-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC) was successful in his middleweight debut.

Craig has earned all 17 of his career victories by stoppage.

Andre Muniz (23-6 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has suffered all six of his career losses by stoppage.

Fares Ziam (14-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has earned all four of his UFC victories by decision.

Jai Herbert (12-5-1 MMA, 2-4-1 UFC) suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Lerone Murphy def. Joshua Culibao

Josh Culibao (11-2-1 MMA, 3-2-1 UFC) suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Joel Alvarez def. Marc Diakiese

Joel Alvarez (20-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has earned all 20 of his career victories by stoppage.

Alvarez has earned 17 of his 20 career victories by submission.

Mick Parkin def. Jamal Pogues

Mick Parkin (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

Jamal Pogues (10-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Makhmud Muradov def. Bryan Barberena

Bryan Barberena’s (18-11 MMA, 9-9 UFC) three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since July 2022.

Barberena was unsuccessful in his middleweight debut.

Ketlen Vieira def. Pannie Kianzad

Ketlen Vieira’s (14-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) eight victories in UFC women’s bantamweight competition are third-most in divisional history behind Amanda Nunes (13) and Raquel Pennington (11).

Vieira has earned seven of her eight UFC victories by decision.

Chris Duncan def. Yanal Ashmoz

Chris Duncan (11-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has earned both of his UFC victories by decision.

Yanal Ashmoz (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) had his seven-fight winning streak snapped for the first defeat of his career.

Bruna Brasil def. Shauna Bannon

Shauna Bannon (5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) had her five-fight winning streak snapped for the first defeat of her career.

Jafel Filho def. Daniel Barez

Jafel Filho (15-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has earned 14 of his 15 career victories by stoppage.

Daniel Barez (16-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) suffered the first knockout loss of his career.
