Bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley called for Dana White to give him a $50,000 performance bonus after winning the first fight of the UFC 250 main card with a jaw-dropping walk away knockout of Eddie Wineland that left commentators Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan stunned.
Just 1:54 into the first round, O’Malley got Wineland to drop his hands with a brilliant feint and then delivered a devastating right that knocked Wineland unconscious. As Wineland hit the canvas, O’Malley simply turned and walked away, sure that the fight was over. With the win, O’Malley – who entered the night ranked outside the top 15 in his division – improved to 12-0 in his career.
O’Malley’s peers watching the fight were blown away.
