UFC 243 draws announced record crowd of 57,127 for $5.4 million live gate

UFC 243 is in the record books.

Following the pay-per-view event, the promotion announced a UFC-record crowd of 57,127 fans at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, for a live gate of $5,478,345.

In the main event, Israel Adesanya became the undisputed middleweight champion with a second-round knockout of Robert Whittaker. And in the co-headliner, Dan Hooker scored his biggest win to date via unanimous decision over Al Iaquinta.

UFC 243 took place Saturday (Sunday locally) and streamed on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN 2 and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.
