UEFA send message to Seamus Coleman after Everton captain earns coaching badge

Seamus Coleman has received his UEFA B License coaching badge.

The Everton captain, 31, was presented with his certificate by Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy.

The B License now allows Coleman to be head coach of amateur teams, youth set-ups to the age of 16 and an assistant coach. He is also now eligible to complete his UEFA A License and UEFA Pro License.

A Pro License is required for anyone who wishes to manage a football club in the top tier of any European league on a permanent basis.

The Football Association of Ireland announced Coleman's success on social media, writing: "Congratulations to Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman on completing his UEFA B License.

"The Everton defender was presented with his certificate by Ireland manager Mick McCarthy. Follow Seamus’ lead and start your coaching career today."

UEFA themselves responded to the post, adding: "Well done, Seamus!"
