Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder: Brit compared to WWE legend The Undertaker for surviving late knockdown

Lou DiBella has compared Tyson Fury to The Undertaker after he somehow climbed off the canvas in the twelfth and final round of his heavyweight world title fight with Deontay Wilder.

Fury was denied one of the greatest comebacks in history when his WBC title fight against Wilder at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was scored a draw.

Fury was first knocked down in the ninth, and again in the 12th when he appeared out cold, but he somehow returned to his feet and recovered enough to survive to the final bell.

And Wilder’s promoter, DiBella, has said he was reminded of the WWE legend The Undertaker.

“People were saying that Tyson Fury hadn’t had enough fights but he was in the best physical and mental condition I have ever seen him in,” DiBella said in the post-fight press conference.

“And how many guys come back from that knockdown in the last round? HIs eyes rolled in his head. He literally popped up like the f***** Undertaker.

“That really was like a WWE moment. It reminded me of Larry Holmes vs Earnie Shavers.”
