Tyson Fury's team confident of deal with Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk winner

Tyson Fury's promoter Bob Arum is confident he and his fighter's team will be able to make a deal for an undisputed heavyweight title fight with either Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.

The WBC heavyweight champion continues to insist that he is retired from the sport, particularly after failing to make a deal with Derek Chisora for a trilogy fight. But Arum has remained consistent in his view that Fury will come back once the right fight is there, believing that either Usyk or Joshua will motivate him for a return.

Fury has remained around boxing through his 'retirement', staying in the gym and now becoming a key part of Joseph Parker's camp for his bout with Joe Joyce on September 24. But he continues to tell fans that he won't be fighting again, saying after turning 34 last week that he was finished with the sport.

But there would be huge money to be made, as well as a legacy-defining fight, if he were to agree to one more outing against the winner of tomorrow night's bout. There will be a particularly large sum available if his long-time rival Joshua can get a victory and set up an all-British clash for all the heavyweight belts.

"Absolutely - it's really the only fight that makes sense for Tyson Fury," Arum told Sky Sports of the undisputed bout. "I've discussed this with my co-promoter of Fury, Frank Warren, and once this fight is over we're going to put together a total unification match between the winner and Tyson Fury.

"Now, if Usyk wins the fight, which I expect, that will be quite easy to do because we're very close to the Usyk people as they're the same people who manage Vasyl Lomachenko who fights for us. If Joshua wins, Eddie Hearn is his promoter. We've talked many times with Hearn about various matches and I'm sure we'll be able to come together on this one.

"I've talked with him and every day is different, but he's a fighter and if the right fight is there then Fury will be up for that fight. The right fight is the unification fight against the winner of Usyk and Joshua.

"And I think - based on my conversations with Fury - he'll be up for that challenge. How much longer he will go after that, god only knows and I'm not sure, but I'm confident at least that he'll answer the bell for that major fight."

Fury looks to still be in shape, and is currently in the midst of a nationwide speaking tour where he meets fans and tells stories of his iconic career. He is also flirting with the possibility of a return to WWE, or an exhibition bout with former world's strongest man winner Thor Bjornsson whom he failed to run into during a recent trip to Iceland.
