Tyson Fury claims Anthony Joshua superfight will never happen if AJ suffers knockout defeat again to Andy Ruiz

Tyson Fury believes a British superfight with Anthony Joshua might never materalise.

The former world heavyweight champion has been linked with AJ for years, but after Andy Ruiz Jr pulled off an upset in June, the fight seems as distant as ever.

Fury believes a second successive knockout loss to the Mexican-American will leave a future fight with Joshua in tatters.

“Well, if he gets knocked out again there’s no chance, is there, that’s for sure,” Fury told Sky Sports.

“If we were to fight, if he did win this fight, then all my fights have to be in America now.

“So unless they’re willing to travel to the US, which after his last visit, I don’t think he’ll be too happy on going, then it’s not happening any time soon, that’s for sure.”

Fury is embarking on a spell with the WWE and will make his debut against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel.

The Gypsy King insists wrestling is “100 times” harder than boxing, with a rematch against Deontay Wilder pencilled in for the first quarter of 2020.
