Tyler McDermott: Third man charged with murder after shooting of boy, 17, in Tottenham

A third man has been charged with murder over the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Tyler McDermott in Tottenham.

The teenager was shot in the early hours of last Thursday in Norman Road, and died a day later in hospital.

On Wednesday, officers charged 20-year-old Tyrese Matthews, of Black Prince Road, Kennington, with murder.

He is due to appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court later on Wednesday.

Two other men, Tyrese Barnett, 19, of no fixed address and Leo Reid, 19, of Tulse Hill, were charged with Tyler’s murder on Sunday.

They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Police were not yet able to give details of their next hearing.
