Two teens, 16, charged over Bo'ness United football stadium fire

Two 16-year-old boys have been charged in connection with a fire at the home of Bo'ness United .

Firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to Newton Park on Tuesday at around 1.30pm after reports of a blaze.

As a result of the massive inferno there was extensive damage to Kinneil Band Hall, West Lothian.

No one was injured, however several roads were shut as fire crews extinguished the flames.

Two teens will appear in court tomorrow over the fire (Daily Record)

A Police Scotland statement read: "Detectives would like to thank the public for their assistance and support during this investigation.

"The two, aged 16, are expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court tomorrow."

Established in 1945, Bo'ness United are a former Junior football team who switched to the East of Scotland league last summer and play in Conference B.

The Club tweeted to let fans know about the fire, and to praise the work of the fire service.
