THANE: Two people suffered injuries after a car parking attendant lost control of a car while maneuvering it out of a newly inaugurated public parking facility at Gaondevi area of Thane, Thursday evening, police informed.

The 30-year-old attendant, employed by the contractor, was tasked to drive a parked car out of the underground lot but as he drove out, he accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and crashed into a car and two mobiles before jumping on the footpath and grinding to a halt.

A biker suffered fracture to his limbs while a vendor operating from the footpath escaped with minor injuries, said a Naupada police official.

The police were in the process of filing a complaint at the time of filing this report.
