Two robbers injured a Bargain Booze worker with a knife before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The terrifying incident happened at the off licence, on Wigan Road, Bryn, on Sunday, March 17.

Two men entered the shop at around 9.15pm, brandishing a knife at staff members.

A shop worker, a woman in her 30s, suffered a minor cut but did need to be taken to hospital.

The men ran off towards Bryn Cross carrying stolen cigarettes and cash.

Police say one of them was white, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was wearing black.

The other man was white, of stocky build and wearing a khaki green and black North Face outdoor jacket with grey jogging bottoms.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7259, quoting incident number 2216 of March 17. Reports can also be made via Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
