Things haven’t been going great for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, from last minute changes to worrying script updates. Now rumors of a possible clash between two members of the cast have further tanked fans expectations, although the exact details of the on set argument are vague at best.
The argument supposedly broke out after one of the many many actors cast in this movie made a comment that was apparently intended to be “in jest,” however, the comment was “a bit too familiar” considering neither of the two actors knew each other that well. A misfired joke is definitely enough to ignite a rivalry, especially in a place like Hollywood which is populated with so many fragile egos.
What do we know about the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ clash?
The details come from John Rocha who appeared on his friend Kristian Harloff’s podcast to share his insider scoop. Rocha was also the first to break the news regarding the Hulk and Punisher making appearances in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Of course, that doesn’t automatically make what he’s saying true, but it does lend some credence to the story.

According to Rocha, after the initial comment was made “one of the actors got really upset about it, [and] confronted the other actor… and that caused a big rift.” After that Marvel allegedly approached the actors to shoot their scenes separately which resulted in changes being made to certain scenes with them in.
Who were the actors?
It’s unclear how, or if this will even affect the movie, it likely won’t be all that noticeable in the finished product. Rocha also avoided mentioning the names of the actors involved, likely for fear of legal repercussions, leaving fans to speculate over who this could be about.
The cast of Avengers: Doomsday is huge, so it’s hardly a surprise that not everyone should get along. However, fans narrowed the possibilities down, guessing that the actor who got upset was likely involved in a controversy which they may not want jokes made about. Some pointed to Robert Downey Jr.’s past while others suggested Ryan Reynold’s current drama involving his wife and Justin Baldoni. Of course RDJ would likely have the power within Marvel to demand separate scenes, but again, this is not conclusive.
As for who made the comments, that’s a little harder to guess, some have suggested perhaps it was Pedro Pascal but then again, who could possibly hate Pascal?
Meanwhile, others have expressed doubts over the whole story, calling out Rocha for sharing a story with no proof and no real accusations against any known names. It’s a blind item and unfortunately for all the curious minds out there, we may never know who it was about.
