Two motorcyclists are fighting for their lives after a serious crash on a slip road of the M25, police have said.

Surrey Police were called to the M25 clockwise carriageway at 5.45pm on Saturday, June 13, following a collision between the riders of two motorcycles. The crash took place on the slip road at junction 12 leading to the M3.

A man in his 30s and a man in his 40s, both riders of the motorcycles, sustained life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to hospital. Their next of kin are aware.

The M25 clockwise carriageway was closed between junction 11 and 12 for several hours while emergency services responded to the accident.

A Surrey police spokesman said: "We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, to get in touch.

"We are particularly interested in tracing the movements of the riders prior to the collision, and would like to speak to anyone who saw a group of motorcycle riders on the M25 in the minutes beforehand."

Anyone with information can contact Surrey Police online or via 101, quoting reference PR/45260070007.

Alternatively, give information anonymously by contacting independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
