Police swooped on an east London estate after two men suffered “slash injuries” in a large group fight on Wednesday.

Two men, in their 20s, were taken to hospital by paramedics after the double stabbing in Bakers Hill at 9.40pm.

Dozens of officers closed off the residential estate close to the River Lea after being called to a disturbance.

No arrests have been made.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people in Bakers Hill, E3.

“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found two men, aged in their 20s, with slash injuries.

“They were taken to hospital where their conditions were assessed as not life-threatening.”
