Two men climb huge crane in city centre sparking emergency response

Emergency crews were scrambled to a city centre street last night after two men climbed a huge crane.

Police were first called to the scene on Goulden Street at around 9pm on Wednesday evening. Incident response units and paramedics also responded.

They found two men had scaled a large crane. They were brought down to safety at around 9.30pm, police said.

No injuries were reported. A spokesperson for GMP said: "We were called just after 9pm yesterday evening 21/6/2023 to Goulden Street, Manchester.

"On arriving it was established that there were two men climbing on a crane. No injuries were reported and the men were brought down to safety at around 9.30pm."
