Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was left in a critical condition after being shot in north London.

Police were called shortly after 5pm to reports of a shooting on High Road in Arnos Grove on October 9.

Officers rushed to the scene alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, who treated a 17-year-old boy.

His injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, the Met Police confirmed.

The boy’s family were made aware of his condition and continue to receive support from specialist officers.

Benjamin Marmah, 19, from Potters Bar, was arrested eight days later on October 17 before being charged the next day.

Kitan Ojelade, 18, from Hertfordshire, was then arrested on October 22 and then charged a day later.

Both men were remanded to prison and will next appear at the Old Bailey on November 14.

A separate 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm on October 18, but was bailed pending further investigation.

The Met Police said its investigation remains ongoing.
