Two men arrested as frightened employees held at knifepoint in popular Raheny shop

Two men have been arrested after a failed attempted robbery on a popular North Dublin shop.

Frightened employees were held at knifepoint at the Raheny establishment on Sunday afternoon as the two males attempted to steal cash.

A panic alarm was activated during the horrifying incident and both men left the shop empty-handed.

In a follow up operation, Gardai arrested two men in connection with the incident.

A spokesman for Gardai told Dublin Live said that "investigations are continuing and no injuries were reported from the incident".
